Here I am pretending to work in the Comms Area, and Alex is pretending to push buttons on (I think) a PDP-11 “Micro Computer”. There was another “Micro Computer” in the computer room, and I cannot remember what it was, which is somewhat embarrassing as I spent a fair bit of time writing machine code for it when I worked as a programmer. The strange thing is I remember the colors. The PDP was all purples; the one I can’t remember was all blues and cyans.

My best guess is that this picture was taken between 1982 and 1983. I found it in an old Computer Science Department brochure I’d kept.
