Hard-boiled and painted Easter Eggs

Saturday and Sunday Lanie made coloured Easter Eggs. I was going to take a picture of them yesterday, but that would have involved moving the van out of the garage which doubles as my workshop and a sort of studio when needed. It’s been raining almost non-stop for two days, we’ve had over five inches of rain and Ginger’s parents have had over ten inches. I was alerted to the backyard flooding by the sound of water pouring into the crawlspace under the house. By that time it was several inches deep, and while I did the school run Ginger

Dirty Martini (365:114) — Easter Sunday. Up early, church, home, long afternoon nap, computer, and finally, dirty martinis. A sloppy picture deserves a faux Lomo effect.

Slideshow (365:111)

Once again I had a plan. Once again, unfortunately, it didn’t work out. Tonight I had a boys’ night out while the kids were at Youth Group. I was going to take advantage of this and grab my picture with the guys at Ebbets Bar. Unfortunately, there was an ‘event’ at Ebbets, so we went to the Springfield Micro Brewery instead. There were no tables near our booth to rest the camera on, so that idea didn’t work out. I had a great time with the lads. We ought to try and get out more often. In the end I

Batch-loaded, inverted down-draft gassifier wood stove (365:105) – I spent some more time in the workshop today. One-minute read

It’s Thursday and this isn’t a picture of me studying. Just a quick picture of my cut hair on the floor, before I settled down studying for the day. At class this evening we took some time out to go down to the hospital to see our classmate John.

Running repairs (365:102) – Today Tom and I went fishing on Stockton Lake. One-minute read

Today we didn’t get finished at A fairly typical Sunday (365:100) — Church until just before twelve. So here it is, an end-of-the-day, late-night self-portrait. Tomorrow I’m off fishing with Tom; should be fun!

My once a week ‘Studying’ picture (365:097) – Thursday keeps on coming around every week.

More fun in the workshop (365:095) – Today we are building a “batch-loaded, inverted downdraft gasifier” wood stove out of old tin cans. 2 4

Trying out my new sleeping bag (365:094) – Technically speaking its a quilt and not a sleeping bag, however, the the net result is the same. I found a nice summer weight bag at 40% off retail price, hopefully it should be good for temperatures from 40°F up. One-minute read, 2 pictures

Sprinky appears to be giving me the ‘evil eye’ (365:092) — You would have thought I would have got the hang of this self-portrait taking thingy by now. Alas that isn’t the case. immortalize any of these activities in the digital photographic medium? No. 2 pictures

Late night stand-by (365:091)

Parallel Guide (365:090)

That’s it for today (365:089) – The problem with going away is processing all the pictures and writing it up when I get back. Still, I’m all caught up now and it’s all up and posted. I have to admit the last hour or so was wasted looking dumbly at the screen; I didn’t take anything in.

I spent too much time at the computer today.

Final preparations (365:077) – Today we did a lot of running around. 3 pictures
