2021 Favorites

My favorite pictures from 2021.

Looking up Piney Creek - it was a nice view to wake up to.
Large pool on Piney Creek - I didn't check how deep, but judging by the color, a few feet.
Clouds - I was hoping for a nice, as in flaming oranges and yellows, sunset. It didn't happen, but this cloud formation and an otter made up for it.
My lakeside camp at night - I love this spot.
Gary eating lunch - Day hike at Piney Creek Wilderness.
Dogwoods on the 'Farm Track Trail' - Spring is sprung in the Ozarks.
The end of the hike - Day hike with Katie and Lanie. I took them to my favorite spot in Piney Creek Wilderness. It was an easy 5.5 mile hike with 570ft of elevation, and a nice long lunch stop by the lake.
Breakfast at Denny's - Breakfast, our first meal out in over a year.
Breakfast at Denny's - Ginger, immersed in her phone.
Ginger - Breakfast at Denny's.
Family Day - Spent with Carol & Jim to celebrate Lanie's Graduation. Katie was also with us but unfortunately, she left before we decided to take a picture.
Ozark Trail, trailblaze.
Nothing but trees - Camped in Mark Twain National Forest, it was a wonderful morning in a rejuvenating spot.
Gary and Ginger at the Pole Hollow Cairn - I know how to treat Ginger to a good time, I made sure she had plenty of exercise, time to relax, and her own room with a forest view. 2 2
Gary and Ginger at the Pole Hollow Cairn — Ginger is never one to miss the chance to ham things up. There are several outtakes.
View to the southeast from the Pilot Trail, and the hike out.
Storm clouds over Ozark - checking on the radar, the storm was nine miles away over Ozark.
Unused pencil and old plans - While the pencil remains unused, the plans at least have been implemented with the completion of the storage area in the garage in 2019. +2
Enjoying the view - between interludes of journaling and swimming. I even completed some camp chores.
Journaling - I did a lot of thinking and scribbling. Unfortunately, I came away with a lot more questions than answers. 2
Lifting mist at Piney Creek - Complete with a heron.
My first Sunday church visit in eighteen months or more. Today I'm in Joplin discussing church marketing.
Through the veil - It's taken me a while to see the potential in this picture. I like this alternate treatment of the image.
Lazing in my hammock - I'm having a lazy day. And why not? Until the bugs and weeds die back a bit I'm quite happy to lay here and enjoy some peace and quiet.
