At Work

Cocking a snoot — Actually, I was making a snoot to test out a hair light for Ginger’s video setup in her office.

The perils (and perks) of a home office. Dick is ‘helping’ me edit videos.

Small Product Photography Setup — Once we’ve been using it for a while and know what we like and don’t like, I’ll tidy away the cables and power supplies. Until then, it’s going to be a bit messy.

One, two, three. Testing, testing – I’m doing my first church service broadcast in almost a year tomorrow. Time to check everything still works.

Bishop Provisional of West Missouri, The Rt. Rev. Diane Bruce and the Diocesan Staff.

Diocesan Staff.

New work profile picture – It’s time for a new profile picture for work — the old one was taken in 2011, ten years ago. How did that happen?

Special Diocesan Convention — Friday and Saturday I was working in Kansas City. We were holding a special diocesan convention on Saturday to vote on a change to the diocesan rules of order to enable us to hold an online convention in November. 1   5

Strange times, strange working conditions – Today, for the first time since March 11, I left the house for work. Two-minute read. 4 pictures

The Books on my desk – Last night, when I tidied up I left a stack of books on the corner of my desk. Seeing them this morning reminded me how much my life has changed. Four-minute read, 2 pictures

Vacation Days 3-5 – Working. All I had to do was create the artwork and then upload it all to the printer’s website — That was before we rented two weeks display time on an electronic billboard. 4

The Rocky Mountains from the Air – Portland Day 1. I’m traveling to the Episcopal Communicators’ Conference in Portland Oregon.

‘Clay Day’ in Wales — Penny was very kind. She’d never met us, and hadn’t heard of Ginger, but she agreed to put us up for a couple of nights after one of her customers persuaded her to invite Ginger to a ‘Clay Day’ so they could all meet up. +5

The Diocese of West Missouri Annual Convention 2013 – I spent a couple of days taking portrait pictures at The Diocese of West Missouri’s annual convention. Two-minute read, +9

Gary’s last day working at the University of Southampton – Today was my last day at the University of Southampton. This is what I said to my friends and colleagues… One-minute read, 2 pictures

The Bottom of the Barrel (365: 87) — Possibly a 365 days all-time low.

After the Meeting — I managed to close the meeting in half an hour, leaving enough time for a quick picture.

Lunch in the Office (365: 24).

Walking across the campus — I’m halfway through a 15-minute walk between meetings at work, and it is too cold to spend time taking fancy photographs. And I’m wearing a silly hat to keep warm.

At My Desk (365:11) – Here I am, all ready to continue with my day’s work once I’ve got this photograph taken.

Gary working in the computer room at Portsmouth Polytechnic—Left to right: Gary and Alex. My best guess is that this picture was taken between 1982 and 1983. I found it in an old Computer Science Department brochure I’d kept.
