Picture of a tre with bright yellow fall foliage

I would much rather be outside kicking through the leaves than sitting at my desk. Fall has finally arrived at the tree outside my office window.

Photograph of the November 13, 2016 Supermoon.

This came out a lot better than I expected and deserved. I might even be prompted to make a second attempt. This Supermoon for some reason (unknown and not researched by me) is also known as a Beaver Moon. I took the picture solely for the boyish delight of being able to say “Nice Beaver.” I don’t have a big telephoto lens, so I just used my 135mm lens to see what, if anything, I could capture. I didn’t bother focusing – I let the camera do its thing. However, I did set the exposure. The inset shows the original

Sometimes the picture you end up with isn’t the picture you thought you were taking.

Tubby Back-lit – Tubby (a.k.a. Rotters) was sitting on the end of the bed and I rather liked the back lighting. I thought I’d try a grab a picture. 2 pictures

Fr. Jonathan Frazier, Rector, St. Peter & All Saints, Kansas City, Missouri. This was a picture I took partly for work, and partly for myself.

Picture showing empty roads in the Ozarks

UK friends and family seeing this might begin to get an idea of why I don’t like driving in the UK. 100 miles of driving and this is about as busy as it gets. After all the upgrades I’ve had recently, this vehicle was about as basic as they get. It didn’t even have a cruise control.

Photograph of Gary and Ginger Allman on board an American Airways 'plane bound for London Heathrow.

We’re On Our Way to England – And we’ll be staying a month. It’s going to be busy as Ginger has a lot of work lined up. We’ll be traveling a lot, and I plan to get in some hiking, we’ll see how that goes. 2

Hotel Eastlund, Portland Oregon. Corridor seemingly stretching to infinity. Black and White Photograph.

Infinity – Clever painting and carpet coordination. The areas outside the rooms were painted black and the carpet was also black, creating these visual stripes and making the corridor look like it went on forever.

Riverside Walk – Portland Oregon – Having settled in at the hotel I decided to go for an afternoon walk, and headed off towards the river. One-minute read, 8 pictures

Railway Sleepers – The strong smell of creosote reminded me of my childhood and brought these ‘new’ sleepers to my attention.

Steel Bridge – I crossed the river on this novel bridge during my afternoon walk around Portland. One-minute read, 3 pictures

Hotel Room, Hotel Eastlund, Portland Oregon – The hotel has been remodeled recently and they’ve worked hard to provide a consistent theme throughout. It’s modern, clean and comfy, with a slight twist in the decor … 5

The Rocky Mountains from the Air – Portland Day 1. I’m traveling to the Episcopal Communicators’ Conference in Portland Oregon.

Font and Flag Sometimes while I’m working I spot a picture that I want to take for myself, this is the second of the two pictures I took while documenting the area confirmation service at St. James’ here in Springfield.

At my desk this morning – If I could just train Tubby to do my Facebook posting for me.

Four colored Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pens

Now I Have a Fancy Green Pen For My Fancy Green Ink – Recently Ginger’s become besotted with fountain pens, and unfortunately a little bit of her enthusiasm has rubbed off on me. One-minute read, 3 pictures
