Camp WeMo at Wakonda - preparing the personal IDs for the new arrivals

Dropping Lanie off at Camp WeMo at Wakonda – Lanie’s off to Camp WeMo (WEst MissOuri) at Wakonda for the week, so this afternoon we dropped her off, and I took advantage of the visit to grab a few pictures. 1   10

The brief was fairly straightforward. Take an existing drawing of a map, colorize it and add more map labels. The challenges were firstly, that the map was already colored, and secondly the elements of the drawing would have to be moved to make space for the additional labels.

Every so often the knot under the sole between my toes breaks off. When it does I have to stop and tie a new one.

Ginger spotted this picture which worked very well. We probably should’ve put more water in the Platy.

A picture from last weekend’s backpacking trip. We were checking out a stock pond to see if it might provide drinking water. The pond was not only quite large, but also surrounded by cattails which had started to break apart and seed.

We spent a long weekend backpacking in Hercules Glades. The highlight being an afternoon resting and enjoying the spring sunshine on top of a 260 ft. bluff overlooking Beaver Creek. Journal: 1 29

This afternoon we made the effort to leave our desks behind and hike what we call the ‘Hill Loop’ of the Busiek Silver Trail – 2.58 miles and 574 ft of Elevation. 4 pictures

Weekend with Ginger’s Parents – Ginger’s parents have been asking us to come down and visit for ages. For some reason things always seemed to be getting in the way and our weekends haven’t been clear. Two-minute read, 12 pictures
