Matt raked up the leaves and the kids decided to make a leaf fort from the pile.

Big Fish – The Black & White Selection – I love black and White photography. It’s my preferred medium for portraits. But most people expect color pictures so now-a-days I tend to go with color and make the B&W copies for myself. Color is especially expected with the theater. Photo Album: +13

Big Fish – Saturday Matinee Performance – Another great performance, and this time we were joined by Ginger’s parents, and Susan, Dennis, Matt, and Betsy. 70 pictures

Lanie had an ensemble role in this year’s school musical – Big Fish. She had seven costumes and 14 costume changes … Album: 2   44

Picture of a tre with bright yellow fall foliage

I would much rather be outside kicking through the leaves than sitting at my desk. Fall has finally arrived at the tree outside my office window.

Photograph of the November 13, 2016 Supermoon.

This came out a lot better than I expected and deserved. I might even be prompted to make a second attempt. This Supermoon for some reason (unknown and not researched by me) is also known as a Beaver Moon. I took the picture solely for the boyish delight of being able to say “Nice Beaver.” I don’t have a big telephoto lens, so I just used my 135mm lens to see what, if anything, I could capture. I didn’t bother focusing – I let the camera do its thing. However, I did set the exposure. The inset shows the original

Sometimes the picture you end up with isn’t the picture you thought you were taking.

Tubby Back-lit – Tubby (a.k.a. Rotters) was sitting on the end of the bed and I rather liked the back lighting. I thought I’d try a grab a picture. 2 pictures

July 21 I took Luke for an afternoon kayaking on the James River at Springfield, Missouri +11.

Color, night photograph of an oil lamp, leather bound journal and a cold drink

Evening Pleasures – An oil lamp, my journal, and unusually for me, a rum and Coke. All by the chiminea. +2

Fr. Jonathan Frazier, Rector, St. Peter & All Saints, Kansas City, Missouri. This was a picture I took partly for work, and partly for myself.

Picture showing empty roads in the Ozarks

UK friends and family seeing this might begin to get an idea of why I don’t like driving in the UK. 100 miles of driving and this is about as busy as it gets. After all the upgrades I’ve had recently, this vehicle was about as basic as they get. It didn’t even have a cruise control.

Glendale Speech and Debate Team Banquet – Tonight we went with Lanie to collect her speech and debate trophies. 11 pictures

Font and Flag Sometimes while I’m working I spot a picture that I want to take for myself, this is the second of the two pictures I took while documenting the area confirmation service at St. James’ here in Springfield.

Acolyte, First Cross – Confirmations – April 16, St. James’, Springfield

At my desk this morning – If I could just train Tubby to do my Facebook posting for me.

Four colored Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pens

Now I Have a Fancy Green Pen For My Fancy Green Ink – Recently Ginger’s become besotted with fountain pens, and unfortunately a little bit of her enthusiasm has rubbed off on me. One-minute read, 3 pictures

Morning Welcome – Most mornings this is how I am welcomed to my desk.

Sanctuary Lamp – Today I snuck into the church to take some test photographs. 7 pictures

There’s something very serene about the view across the darkened church from the sacristy door. It made a nice change for me to be taking pictures in the church just for myself rather than for some official diocesan or church event.

Altar at Christ Episcopal Church Springfield, Missouri – I took some time out today to take a few pictures at Christ Church. 7 pictures

Second Shoot of the Day – Jr. High Retreat – It was a questionable decision to do two photo shoots back to back with a new camera. But it turned out fine. One-minute read, 7 pictures
