Memories

Hammock camping in the snow. 7:20 a.m. and it’s been snowing for around nine hours. I was nice and cozy in my hammock.

Ava Hometown Hotrods Festival — 100 Mile Cruise, stop at Hodgson Mill.

Lounge — Netherwood Hotel & Spa. I liked the light, colors, and ambiance of this room.

Morning run at Grange-over-Sands — the return leg, with the railway station caught in a shaft of sunlight.

Morning run at Grange-over-Sands — From the Netherwood Hotel along the entire length of the promenade and back was just over two and-a-half miles. Just right for my morning run. 2

Pre-Eclipse Shenanigans — Lanie & Ginger — 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. Notice how the light in the background is already fading.

Finally, the sun reaches inside my hammock.

Dusk at the Pole (Pete) Hollow Trail cairn — Right on target, 25 minutes from the trailhead.

Overdoing things mowing the front yard – Today the temperatures eased off slightly for the first time in many weeks. It was just low enough for me to venture out to tend to the front yard for a few hours.

The end of the hike – Day hike with Katie and Lanie. I took them to my favorite spot in Piney Creek Wilderness. It was an easy 5.5 mile hike with 570ft of elevation, and a nice long lunch stop by the lake.
