Portfolio

These are my favorite pictures from all the photographs I have taken. Don’t ask me what it takes to get a photo onto this list. It might be a really good picture, it might hold a special memory, or who knows what.

Across The Tracks – New buildings (offices and housing) opposite Sydenham Terrace.

Photograph of St. Jude's Southsea frame by the modern 'wave' sculpture in the Palmerstone Road pedestrian precinct.

St. Jude’s – Menaced – I find this sculpture rather threatening.

A panoramic view of a golden sunset showing a silhouette of South Parade Pier, the beach, sea and Isle of Wight. Southsea, UK

Panoramic Sunset – South Parade, Southsea UK – A spectacular sunset and South Parade Pier, Southsea. This is five handheld photographs stitched together.

Apart… (365:270) – for now. A collaborative picture with Ginger.

Ironed Out – Original caption: “Best part of three weeks away and I’m overrun by ironing.”

Breakfast in America — Our first Breakfast. We got up early to get breakfast before church. It was my first opportunity to sample ‘Biscuits and Gravy’ and take my own special picture of Ginger. Aunt Martha’s Pankake House, Springfield, Missouri.

Modesty (365:108) – My ‘artistic’ notion was to challenge the idea of modesty. Can a naked person be modest? 3

Thursdays — (Take Two). By Thursday the cumulative effects of late to bed and early to rise hit home. Come Friday the possibilities of the weekend see me through the day.

Black and White photograph of Gary Allman. March 2007

Safety in Numbers – Reprise – Not the picture I originally picked for this day’s 365. Nine years later and this is the one I prefer.

Choices — Leeds Kirkgate Market.

Waking Up (365: 29) – In the summer I sleep in the garden. In October I vowed to spend one night a month sleeping out and last night was February’s turn.

Smoke, No Mirrors – Reprise – One of the early photographs I took when I bought my first digital camera.
