Impelling - The view inside the new washer is bright, shiny, and rather sci-fi looking.
Distant Hills - The view to the northeast from the Pilot (Tower) Trail, near Lower Pilot Knob.
Gary Camped to the north of 'Deep Hollow' Hercules Glades.
Bedroom Plants - Same old story, I liked the light.
March Hibiscus - we moved our hibiscus plants inside for the winter and they have rewarded us by flowering every now and then.
Sunday cleaning & oiling. Sig Sauer P938 - I've been trying to get my hands on a P938 for a long time (over a year). Everywhere I've checked they have been out of stock. This is the 9mm version of Katie's 380 Caliber Sig Sauer P238 handgun. One-minute read, +1
Kitchen Table Still Life - I was eating dinner when I noticed the light on these pots that Ginger threw at a pottery class she's been taking. One-minute read, +1
Ginger's Glasses - I find them everywhere. I scoop them up from their hiding places and put them somewhere they can be found. She must have 10-20 pairs.
Inaccessible — Well, almost inaccessible. Looking downstream from the Bathing Pool in ‘Deep Hollow.’
Bath time — I'm looking pleased with myself. That’s probably because I have warmed up after my wilderness bath.
Overdoing things mowing the front yard - Today the temperatures eased off slightly for the first time in many weeks. It was just low enough for me to venture out to tend to the front yard for a few hours.
Old Tools. Detail from inside the tool chest.
Jim's workshop - well, a large bit of it. You can't see the anvils, forge, and lots of other tools that are behind me
The lake was low, very low. Looking to the southwest, with Buck Hollow opposite. Solo backpacking at Piney Creek Wilderness, September 2022. +1
A screen of trees. They let me see out, and stop people from seeing my campsite.
Resting spot in the sun.
Day Three - Enjoying the last of the sun - With the sun already set on the other side of the lake, the foreground really pops in this picture. +1
Orange colored seventies style table lamp on a blue dresser, with hat and shotgun.
Cottage Still Life - This photo started life as a joke picture for the girls, and then it took on a life of its own requiring a second 'shoot' just to put right a few of the details.
A self portrait photograph of Gary Allman keeping warm in his hammock while winter camping. December 2022.
Keeping warm in my hammock - The low was 23°F (-5°C), well within the 10°F rating of my quilts. I was nice and cozy. A forecast of 20°F is my lower limit, I do this for funsies, not to prove anything.
