Identity Crisis – My mother’s Christian name is a little different. Which led to some confusion when I started completing my emigration paperwork. 2

A typical example…

…of why everything takes so damned long.

I scanned my Visa application instructions for Ginger, and so that a copy can be put on the www for others to see (the version online right now is out of date).

I had just finished when I realised the first page had all my personal details on it, and so I had to scan it all over again.

Resignation – I have to give three months’ notice at work. So linking the end of my employment to having my US Visa is a nightmare. One-minute read

My Little Car – Once petrol went over a £1 a litre I noticed an interesting phenomena. Suddenly most of the big gas guzzling SUVs, BMWs, Mercs and Audi’s et al started cruising at modest speeds in the inside lane leaving the fast lane free for nippy little compact cars like mine to zip along. Plans are afoot – With the possibility of the Visa being approved any day more and more likely we’ve been turning our thoughts to fixing a few dates. Two-minute read

Gary Allman and Ginger Davis. June 23, 2008.

Sitting in the front seat – Back to work for me today, so Ginger has had to keep herself entertained. After work, we went for a walk along the beach. As neither of us took a Self-portrait during the day we did a mini-shoot in the car when we got back to the flat. 2

Doing the American tourist thing — Our route back from Birmingham took us near Stonehenge, at which point Ginger declared “Rebbie will never forgive me if I don’t go see it.”

I didn’t get to go to Memphis (this year) (365:120) – The girls have gone to Memphis with the choir, and apparently a whole shed load of adults have to chaperone them. It was suggested that maybe next year I should go…

Curry night – May 2008 (365:111) – We’ve all worked together at some time or other and we’ve been getting together on a monthly basis for longer than I care to recall.

Accident (366:097) – It took me one and a half hours to get home tonight because of an accident. 2 pictures

Painting by Peter Ross — I bought a load of these pictures in the 70s for about £5 each. Acrylic on hardboard.

Norfolk Broads Poster. Not normally considered art, but I very much enjoy this style of commercial art.

Keith and Gary, coffee at Lou-Lou’s. May 2008.

Southsea Motor Factors – The colors remind me of India.
