Range Time – Notice how you cannot see a target in this picture? There is a good reason for that…

My View From the Hammock – We did some yard work this morning. Afterwards, I indulged in a few minutes in the hammock.

Is the Art in the Photograph or the Processing? TLDR: Both. Four-minute read, 23 pictures

A Faux Dori, leather Journal or Bullet Journal cover

Making a Simple Leather Journal Cover – I’ve made a smaller simple leather journal / buJo cover for everyday carry 6   5

At The Bottom of Lake Missoula – Glendale High School – This was Lanie’s final high school performance in the Glendale theater. She played Pam, a college sophomore who loses her entire family in a tornado 27 pictures

Too Many Cat Pictures – The trouble is the cats are a constant source of amusement – so you cannot ignore them, or their strange foibles (and furballs). 5 pictures

Photograph of a writing desk in a rustic environment

I like this crop so much, I wish I’d taken this as a separate picture. However, the wider shots I took came out pretty well too. 3

Chandelier Through the Window — This is probably an unrepeatable picture, as very shortly the clear pane is going to be replaced with frosted glass.

Gary and Lanie go hiking on the Yellow trail at Busiek State Forest and Wildlife area. We took a quick side trip to introduce Lanie to the old panel van 7 pictures

Laine wouldn’t get in and pretend to drive – Lanie joined me for a short hike on the Yellow Trail at Busiek. We went off-trail a bit so she could see the old panel van. I wanted Lanie to get in and pretend to drive, but the lack of any sort of solid floor put her off the idea. 2 pictures

Lanie spotted this on the trail, and a fair bit of Googling hasn’t come up with a formal name for this, or an explanation of how it forms. Pretty cool though.

Routine Cleaning – Cleaning and fixing things was not quite my plan for the day, but that is what I ended up doing. +3

Roomba Cleaning – The Roomba started to do the ‘circle dance’ again. I love the idea of the Roomba, and when it works it is great. However, the design sucks.

Ginger lent Tubby her phone and Tubby wore himself out trying to watch bird videos. It’s tough being a half blind, half deaf cat.

How many old cameras do I need? This is not a serious attempt at a picture, I was just pointing my camera at things in my office late one night.

I’ve got my new monitor stand and cable tidy. 3 pictures

Autonomous Standing Desk at 40" height.

I’ve been having a few health problems, and a standing desk is one of the things I’m trying to beat them. Two-minute read, 5 pictures

wind-blown snow on the ground with fall leaves

Last night it dropped to 3°F (-16°C) and we had a light dusting of snow. Needless to say, I had no inclination to go out taking pictures this morning. This afternoon, once the temperature had crept up above 10°, I ventured out for a few quick shots.

Burmese cat sleeping

With single digit temps outside Tubby is quite content to snooze away the afternoon in the warm.

A close crop showing the play of light on a window blind in Ginger’s office. And why not?

Getzger waiting for shower time – Mr. Cat has been giving a very good impression of settling onto the ‘final glide-path’ this past couple of days. It was good to see him show an interest in joining me for a shower.

Ceramic Fish – I must have had these ceramic fish for 12-15 years, they were a gift from my sister. I take a picture of them every now and then. They followed me across the Atlantic. A tiny bit of the UK seaside here in the Ozarks.
