I have my COVID-19 jab booked – Who knew? My age, health, and profession mean I am in the current tranche of vaccination recipients.

Snow February 2021 – The snow was really fine and fluffy. Very easy to work with. Though I must confess, Ginger cleared the pathway down the drive. +1

Snowy backyard with chairs gathered around the fire pit – It got cold. -13°F (-25°C) cold. Yes, we had a couple of short power cuts, but they were a minor inconvenience. Fortunately a week or so before the cold snap we had our furnace replaced with a new high-efficiency model. +1

Cold – Ho hum – It is 0°F (-17°C) outside, and we’ve just been told that there are going to be ‘rolling’ blackouts of 30-60minutes. Yay.

Snow day gear repairs – I’m usually pretty easy on my equipment, but recently I’ve got careless and damaged three items of my backpacking gear. Today I removed my temporary duct tape fixes and applied permanent repairs to my underquilt protector and rain skirt. One-minute read, +5

Recycling – It’s been a long time. We bribed one of the kids to do it earlier in the year; at that time, there was a huge amount because it included all the packaging for Ginger’s studio remodel.

Working and bopping – Preparing some social media posts ready for Christmas. I’ve just got to get a week’s worth of evening prayers prepared and scheduled, some loose ends to tie up, and I can take a week off work.

After four years I’ve hit my weight target. When I started I was 182lbs. Today I finally hit my target of 156lbs.

Ginger recently undertook a project to make a vessel a day for 100 days. Most days a new vessel of some sort would appear on my desk. The vases came with flowers, and the pots came with small plants. One-minute read, 2 pictures
