Gary and Ginger at the dinner table (365:218) – Ginger said this picture needed some color. Now it has.

Making a spice rack for Ginger (365:217) – Well actually only the back of it. One-minute read, 3 pictures

Day 216 (365:216)

Pumping gas (365:215) – And the price is slowly coming down again.

In-car thermometer reading 111 F.

Today the temperature in Joplin Missouri was 111°F (365:214) – That’s 44°C to my overseas chums.2 pictures

Manly shopping (365:213) – Carol and Jim came to town today. Which means I got to go places with lots of power tools and other exciting stuff.

This month we finished our vacation in the UK. I met with an old school friend I’d not seen in nearly forty years; I took Ginger to a sleepy seaside town I’d last visited on holiday with my Grandparents sometime in the sixties, spent a day on the beach in Portsmouth, and said our goodbyes to our family in the UK.

Actually, unlike Shirley Valentine, I’ve not taken to talking to the wall. Though I had better not discount the possibility entirely. I might even have a sensible conversation.

Gary, Sprinky and Inspector Morse (365:210) – It was good to find that Netflix have the Inspector Morse DVDs. But as they also have such UK masterpieces as the ‘Biederbeck Tapes’ I suppose I shouldn’t be that surprised.

Reading before bed (365:209) – I took the car in for a service and walked back in the morning’s 90°F temps. To get out of the heat for a few minutes I stopped at the library. Browsing the shelves I found an Iain Banks book I’ve not read.

Popcorn.

Gary takes a break from other duties to repair the washing machine (365:206).

Day 205.

Wine and TV (365:204).

Day 203 – I’ve run out of ideas for titling these wall pictures. I should write a book – I’ll call it Facebook with lots of wall pictures.

Thursday evening service (365:202) – I could write a lot, but I don’t have the time. However, it was nice to get back to my regular routine.

Processing (365:200). Day 200! Only 165 to go. More vacation pictures being processed.

Working late at the computer (365:199) – This should be titled ‘Dirty Glasses’

It’s that wall again… (365:198) – I’m busy. In fact I’m very busy. There’s all the playing catch-up after our vacation, loads of pictures to process and a new project to start. Unfortunately updates will be a bit sporadic for the foreseeable future.

Half-cut – again (365:197) – After a month away on vacation my first job at home is to tend to my personal grooming.

It’s been a busy month. The first couple of weeks were spent getting prepared and ready to go the UK, and the rest of the month was spent in the UK catching up with friends and family, eating and drinking. I managed to (at least temporarily) satisfy my desires for both pork pies and curry. I also managed to buy a new camera, and almost immediately broke it getting through security at the airport in Springfield (I was not a happy bunny). By the end of the month we’d begun a short tour of Scotland, which started with a couple

A new camera doesn’t mean more creativity, yet. Let’s hope once I’ve started to master it the creative juices will commence flowing. Just one more day until we get on the ‘plane and head to the UK. I’ve not really thought about how I’ll keep my 365 Days postings going while we’re away. We’ll have to see. Today’s extras

New Toy (365:162) — Today was a big shopping day. After leaving my decision to buy a new camera to percolate overnight, this morning we went to the camera shop and dished out the dosh.
