Panorama

A panorama is either an image cropped to an elongated rectangle, or it’s an image comprised of two or more pictures stitched together to create a wider (or taller) image.

Camped in ‘Twin Falls Hollow’ – I’ve not camped in this spot for a while. Recently I’ve been bushwhacking further down the hollow where the sides are not quite so steep. But the views here are much nicer, and I like the little rock-shelf tables I can use as mini kitchen tables. 4

Camp life (cont.) – Heating some water on my Fancee Feest cat-can alcohol stove. I was being lazy, and couldn’t be bothered to light the woodstove just to heat up some hot dogs and boil water for a cup of tea. Piney Creek Wilderness – Day Two. 2 pictures

The brush is growing and views are limited – Ten years ago when we first hiked this trail the views were a lot better.

Day Two – Sunrise near Mary Hollow.

Another empty trailhead – Here I am parked up, ready to start a three-day hike around the Devil’s Backbone Wilderness

One more Piney Creek Panorama for luck – I’m not sure that I’ll ever tire of this view, though maybe I do need to stop taking pictures of it. Each time I look the play of the light is different. 2 pictures

Frosty Morning – The predicted overnight temperatures were 30°F. It dropped to 21°F. Fortunately, I’d anticipated this and I was nice and warm in my hammock.

A Quick Diversion Off-Trail – I had hoped that there would be more water running over these stepped falls, but this is what there was.
