Fujifilm X-E3

FujiFilm X-E3 with a red anodized aluminum shutter button

Pictures taken with my Fujifilm X-E3. This is the third Fujifilm Camera I’ve bought, and the best so far.

Stops on the way – This downed tree offered a good place to catch my breath, have a drink, and take a selfie. 4

Cat Briar Meadows – Cat briars are taking over this area, and climbing the trees as well. I suspect the only thing keeping the trail open here is the horses. 2 pictures

Time to have breakfast, then pack up and go. One-minute read, 3 pictures

Frost melting in the early morning sunshine.

Leaves.

Sunrise on Day Three.

Good morning! To get up or not to get up? Now that’s a question when it is cold out.

Frosty Morning – The predicted overnight temperatures were 30°F. It dropped to 21°F. Fortunately, I’d anticipated this and I was nice and warm in my hammock.

Another empty trailhead parking lot…Means another backpacking trip – Pines View Trailhead, Piney Creek Wilderness. I’m about to start on a three day – two-night relaxing stay by the lakeside.

Sleeping Rainbow Tubby – At seventeen Tubby’s definitely getting ready to cross that ol’ Rainbow Bridge, but his tenacity continually surprises us. 2 pictures

New gear testing – Luna Sandals – I’ve had these several months, but this is the first opportunity I’ve had to get out hiking in them.

I took some pictures of our rather low-key Christmas decorations to go with the Christmas carols video I produced. 6 pictures

A family trip down the range – this afternoon we went down to Sound of Freedom in Ozark for some family ‘range time’. One-minute read. 4 pictures

Blue Ball – Something different for a change … I was sitting at the kitchen table entranced by the play of light filtering through the trees and the kitchen window mesh screen. The shadows were forming wonderful dancing patterns on a blue (lacrosse) ball Ginger had left on the table. Video: 1 2

A quick trip down to Branson – I was visiting Branson to record a video interview at Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, and this is the rental vehicle I ended up with. 3

Storm clouds over the Solent – Vacation Day 12.

Footpath to Kingley Vale. Vacation Day 9. Today we went for a short hike with Marcelle and Charlie (the dog).

Yew, Pumpkin, & Feather – evidence of fairies in the woods.

The yew trees at Kingley Vale are large and old (400 years or so), they are also weirdly contorted as can be seen here.

View from Kingley Vale – It all looks very peaceful now, but Kingley Vale was formerly used for artillery practice.
