Working things out (365: 254) — Notes, facilitation, dealing with problems, finding solutions, this is what I do.

Royal Mail Sorting Office / Post Office, Slindon Street, Portsmouth

Not very subtle architecture… But I did love the way the sky was reflected in the windows and glass.

Solicitor – Today I had the first meeting about the divorce with my solicitor. There I was thinking I’d got some clarity in my life. In fact all I’ve done is stirred up all the muck and now I can’t see a thing.

Ashlyn & Nathaniel – I’d just returned from my first visit to Springfield, Missouri, and for reasons I can’t recall stopped off at my brother’s house on the way home. 3

NIFOC (395: 192). I was chatting on the ‘phone when I noticed the light through the blinds and instantly had the idea for this shot.

Pompey Sunset – One of the joys of my flat’s westward facing window is the sunset.

Another ironing shot (365: 190) – Simple plan. This way I got two things done at once. Not exactly an inspirational photograph though. Maybe I should have dispensed with my clothes. Okay, maybe not.

365: 187 Reject.

Fresh (365: 175) – And that’s all I have to say about that. 2

The view from the TV (365: 174)

Bed and breakfast (365: 172).

My new home. I signed the lease today. 44a St. David’s Road, Portsmouth. The top flat will be mine from July 5th. I’m looking forward to getting out of temporary bed & breakfast accommodation and into my own place. 4

Stunned (365:171) – This is what it looks like when the financial rug is unexpectedly pulled out from under you. 1   5

Oops (365: 170) — Nearly forgot!

Late Night, Early Evening (365: 169).

Balance (365: 163).

Dreaming (365: 156) — On my bed in the garden, winding down ready for sleep. Just daydreaming. Ten second exposure, lit by oil lamps.

Sea Cabbage (365: 155) — The title refers to the plant, not me. I just wanted to get that clear. 1

Beach Flowers — Common Mallow (Malva sylvestris). I’ve lived in Portsmouth over thirty years. This was just a shingle beach when I first arrived. Over the years plants have been reclaiming it.
