365 Days

365 Days – a project to take a self portrait every day for a year. The rules are simple. I must be visible in the picture, and I must take the picture.

While I’m waiting (365: 159).

Domestic chores (365: 158) — I need to practice more…

Flickr Light (365: 157) — Last minute picture by Flickr light.

Dreaming (365: 156) — On my bed in the garden, winding down ready for sleep. Just daydreaming. Ten second exposure, lit by oil lamps.

Sea Cabbage (365: 155) — The title refers to the plant, not me. I just wanted to get that clear. 1

Catching up on some paperwork (365: 154) — Life caught up with me today. An afternoon nap turned into the best part of a three-hour sleep. June and an instant reminder of why I love having the sofa bed in the garden. Probably time to start sleeping out again too.

Out of inspiration and time (365: 153) — Temporary lull on the ideas front, I’d better start looking for mini challenges. I haven’t checked in weeks.

Faux Puss (365: 152) — Ah! Mr. Bond…

New Door (365: 151) — A new front door and windows were fitted today – I couldn’t miss the opportunity. Fantastic light.

Targeted Maleshot (365:150) — Hmmm, someone’s been giving away my age. I received a survey from ‘Age Concern’ the other week. Oh, how my family laughed.

My Love (365: 149) — I am addicted, I cannot get enough, I’m losing sleep, but I keep on coming back. It’s wonderful. Oh Flickr!

Sunday Reading (365: 148).

The view from below (365: 147) — I’ve done something to my back so I can’t sit down right now (well, I can, but if I do it takes me about 30 minutes to get back up again), so, doing press-ups naked off the edge of the decking over the camera was probably not a good idea.

My home city (365: 146) — I was born in Portsmouth; we moved away when I was eighteen months old and returned when I was sixteen. Portsmouth is mainly built on an Island; surrounded by the Solent to the South, Langstone Harbour to the East, Portsmouth Harbour to the West, and Ports Creek, an almost dried up creek at low water to the North.

Inspired (365: 145). This was a last-minute session by monitor light, because, for the first time in 144 days I nearly forgot to take my picture, and I still haven’t been able to find a replacement bulb for my favourite lamp.

Reading (365: 144).

You’ve Got Mail (365: 143) — Nothing fancy, just me at my PC in youngest’s room. I seem to be spending quite a lot of time here. Flickr has a lot to answer for 🙂

Mirror, Mirror (365: 141) – across the arcade and backed into an alcove for a better angle and something to lean against. I was just about to leave when I realised I was sandwiched between two mirrors. 3

Listening to the silence between thoughts (365: 140) — Yesterday I spent some time catching up on the ‘phone. I thought it’d be fun to recreate that time for my 365 picture. I look bloody miserable, well I’m not; it’s concentration…

I Told You So (365: 139) — I’ve not read this book in years, and on picking it up I remembered it contains a hint on how to find what you need most. Hold the question in your mind and take a book, any book, open it at random, and there you’ll find your answer. I tried it.

Lunch at the ‘Gate’ (365: 138) — Invited for a lunch time meeting I picked a Pub. Note this is a very rare thing. I had a drink; I’m normally strictly water until the evening

A pain in the wallet (365: 137) — A weekly chore, and why is it as soon as I fill it up, Youngest needs his car back again?

Ghosts (365: 136) — A friend asked a question, and I promised an answer, little knowing the ghosts from my past answering it would raise.

Homeward Bound (365: 135) — It was such a beautiful evening, I asked Liv, my car share buddy, to drop me off about a mile along the seafront from my home. On my way, I stopped to sit and listen to the sea, take pictures, and get my SP for the day.
