2007

Faraday — The Faraday Building, University of Southampton.

Lovely Eyes (365: 107)

Keeping Trim (365: 106). This started as a bit of a reprise of my Day 2, though I’ve got a set of mains powered clippers now and so don’t trim my beard in the bathroom.

Yeah, well — My second attempt at my daily picture was to use the mirror, but I didn’t like the shots. I accidently set the timer to two seconds and pulled a stupid face to save wasting electrons.

Saturday in the sun (365: 105) – Just for a change I thought I’d take a picture straight after coming home from the traditional Saturday morning shopping (more nice ties bought), and before enjoying an afternoon basking in the sun. 1   5

Copycat, Copycat (365: 104). Mindfulgirl’s 365 picture looked so posh today, what with her matching outfit and tasteful decor, that I thought I ought to bring her back to her photographic reality.

Stairway to Nowhere.

Looking for… (365: 103) – heaven knows, but I’ve not found it. I’d settle for a couple of photo ideas. 2

Reclining (365: 102) — I took 40 pictures, and only this one was good enough. Looking back at this picture, I realize it’s probably one of the few images I’m uncomfortable sharing.

Clasp (365: 101).

In a corner (365: 100).

DERA Eastney, Portsmouth – Silhouette.

Milton Lake (Langstone Harbour).

Milton Lake (Langstone Harbour).

By the beach — Gary + hedge.

On the beach (365: 99) – I had to wade into the sea, to get one shot, so I thought I might as well take my 365 days self-portrait at the same time … 1

Langstone Harbour Entrance – This channel marker is looking pretty beat up. That’s probably because it’s close to the beach, and so a good target for stones, and quite likely either someone has run into it, or tried to tie up to it.

Out for a ride — I borrowed the PM’s bike and tried to see if I could find some photographs. Funny how I ended up sunbathing on the nudist beach.

Uneven Keel – I didn’t check but it looks like this yacht is quite badly damaged – unless one of the keels has just sunk into the mud.

Pots — Old crab and lobster pots piled high on the shore.

Passage — Passage of time, passage to anywhere, passage through life. At some point the fishing boat will probably become an abandoned hulk on the shore.

Firelight (365: 98) – It was 27°C (81°F) in the shade here today, so what better way to celebrate in the cooler evening than sitting by the fire with a glass of wine. 4

Storytime – ‘Extend your Range’ (365: 97) — AmbrosiaLove started it, Ginger Blue took it up, and Wenchy couldn’t resist. And now there’s a mini challenge. And I couldn’t resist another copycat opportunity either.
