London

London Heathrow, T5 — I love buildings like this, and we spent ages looking at the construction details.

Heathrow T3 from our hotel — The hotel’s sound insulation was very impressive. 2

To all appearances, we might still be flying — Good flights, an excellent connection, and we zipped through border control in the UK in minutes. Down in Baggage Reclaim our bags were first on the carousel, and our hotel was just a short (inside) walk from Heathrow T3 Arrivals.

The Tower of London.

HMS Belfast.

The Shard, River Thames and HMS Belfast — After visiting the Tower, we took a stroll around St. Catherine’s Docks – mainly because I wanted to see the barges.

Visitors to the Tate Modern (London UK) study a huge pile of porcelain sunflower seeds

Porcelain Sunflower Seeds – Ai Weiwei – I wish I’d been able to see the full installation.2 pictures

Two-fifty – Spotted during my wanderings around London.

Missouri Angel – Oh how I chuckled when I found this place, it’s opposite the office block where I worked in 2000, in America Square. The fact that I discovered this bar on the day my American K1 Visa interview was held and approved at the American Embassy is quite auspicious.
