Leeds Arcades

Leeds Arcades. Copyright © 2007 Gary Allman, all rights reserved. I am in Leeds today for a University Software Users’ Group meeting. My flight back to Southampton doesn’t leave until this evening so I decided to spend some time wandering around Leeds’ Arcades and Market. I don’t think I’ve been to Leeds since the late seventies when my uncle lived here.

Something Traditional (365: 37)

Something Traditional (365: 37). Copyright © 2007 Gary Allman, all rights reserved. Something nice and easy for the start of the week. With a simple single light source. After transferring the first set, I decided to set up a reflector and took far too many shots, then cropping and brightening a tad in Lightroom.
Something traditional = No imagination today.

Sunday Reading (365: 36)

Sunday Reading (365: 36). Copyright © 2007 Gary Allman, all rights reserved. I like the shadow at the top of the frame, I noticed it before I started taking the shot and wanted to include it.
Things I dislike:
- My hair.
- The radiator.
I love:
- The light.
- The texture of the sofa.
The sofa(s) used to be burgundy, until one of the boys’ friends threw up on one after a drunken night out. Oh boy did that lose me some brownie points, as I’d given them the go-ahead to have everyone stay over. The PM disappears round her Mum’s when the lads have a night out, so I was notionally in charge.
Robert and friends did all the cleaning up, and they bought the PM a box of chocolates and me a crate of beer to apologise. They all looked so sheepish the PM even gave them all a cooked breakfast, but only after they’d cleared up.
